makeupbox: Fan Bing Bing for L’oreal: Dramatic Charcoal Smoke — Fan Bing Bing, to my recollection, was one of those Chinese actresses who played a supporting role in a famous TV series from about 10 years ago and never really took the spotlight anywhere. Then, all of a sudden, she’s everywhere in L’oreal’s ads and displays as one of the latest spokespersons here in Asia. And how gorgeous does she look here? To be honest, she doesn’t exactly have the typical Asian features, but this is still a look that you can pull off even if you have mono-lids. (Aside from various Youtube gurus, Itsliz89.com is a recently-discovered blog I recommend if you want to see lots of tutorials for mono-lids!) To recreate this, you simply need a quad or eye shadow trio that gives you: 1. Black or charcoal shade 2. Deep grey (take care this is not too silvery and bright) 4. A pearl or white Then just make sure you cover your water line with black pencil and apply lots of black mascara. For the lips and cheeks, just keep everything muted in a soft pink-nude and let the eyes take over!
